The fast rising Electro-soul artist performs two tracks with the Hallé orchestra and youth choir. In this film, the former Hallé Youth Choir member describes the experience as “a dream come true and a real full-circle moment.” Ellen re-imagined her track Thickskinpeel from her debut album, and was then reunited with the Hallé Youth Choir to perform a new choral track, Morpion. As part of a series of films produced by Low Four Studio and the Hallé, supported by the PRS Foundation, Ellen was one of four new Manchester (UK) artists given the opportunity to write, arrange, perform and record with the world famous orchestra. Three other films featuring Manchester artists are also now available to watch, with glue70, Jemma Freese & Jennifer Walinetski, and Elf Traps. Ellen Beth Abdi released her debut eponymous album in 2025.
